Christmas Caper

CHRISTMAS CAPER 12 DECEMBER 2010

5km & 10km Run or Walk, 1km Pre Teens Santa Chase and final 2.195km for those in the Adelaide Kids Marathon.

Start and Finish: Pinky Flat, off of War Memorial Drive adjacent Adelaide Oval/Next Generation Gym.

Course Map
10km Course: Participants head east along the north bank of theTorrens until they reach the footbridge between Frome and Hackney Roads. They cross the river and head west along the south bank and then continue through the railway underpass tunnel into Bonython Park. They run through Bonython Park to the  path alongside Port Road and then head north west towards the Port Road bridge over the Torrens. Just before the bridge they turn right to head upsteam back through Bonython Park, back through the tunnel and east to the weir. They then cross the river and continue east back to Pinky Flat.

5km Course: Participants start 200m west of Pink Flat and head west towards the weir. They cross over the weir and then join the 10k course heading west towards Bonython Park. Please see 10k course description for the remainder of the course.

Drink stations will be located at the Start/Finish area and just east of Frome Road on the north bank, in Elder Park, and in Bonython Park near the tunnel (accessible on the way out and the way back).

8.10am All walkers
9.30am 1km Santa Chase
9.45am Presentation and Random Prize Draws
