5km & 10km Run or Walk and 1km pre-teens
A Cross Country Challenge at Harry Bowey Reserve, off Malinya Dr then Riversdale Dr, Salisbury Pk.

How about heading those few kilometres north to enjoy a great event? As well as challenging yourself to do a PB or set a race record (shown below), you are helping a very worthwhile cause. This event supports the Melissa White Memorial laboratory, which was founded in 1999. It focuses on research into Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia and is at the forefront of this research in Australia.

With the approaching anniversary of Melissa’s death, Melissa’s parents (Andrea and Michael) are very appreciative of our support and they say it is nice to know that her memory lives on.

Deb from the laboratory says that the fund has allowed them to purchase much needed, ‘state-of-the-art’ laboratory equipment.

You may also challenge yourself to raise more money for the Melissa White Foundation to add to the amount we contribute from your entry.

All of us, who have participated in the event before, have enjoyed the pleasant nature of the Harry Bowey Reserve and the challenge of the undulating cross country surface especially the part alongside the creek. It is certainly a great place to start and finish an event.

Following the success of the BBQ last year the relatives of Melissa White are planning to BBQ again, so bring along a few coins, as it all helps the cause.

The course starts and finishes at Harry Bowey Reserve and followsa 5km loop of the Little Para Trails, next to the river & returns to start. 10km runners will do two laps of the 5km course. The course will be sign posted and marshals present.
