10km & 5km Run or Walk from Glenelg Baseball Club, Anderson Ave, Glenelg North

Start Times:10km Runners - 7:45am, 5km Runners - 8:15am, 10km Walkers - 7:45am, 5km Walkers - 8:15am

Enjoy a flat and fast course along 7 km of beachfront from Glenelg to Henley Beach South where sections of the course haverecently been upgraded to provide a smooth wide surface. Invariably the weather is warm with a light breeze along most of the course making for excellent racing conditions. Watching the sunrise over the Adelaide Hills is a magical experience as the sky begins to lighten from around 5:45 am and it is worth arriving early just to experience this. Local birdlife will watch you pass by and it is a short sprint into the sea if you need to cool down during or after the race.

The 10 km course follows the seafront at West Beach, past the prominent Henley Sailing Club then across the River Torrens where it meets the sea before heading under Seaview Road for 200 metres before returning to the Hamra Rd junction and back to the finish line.

Race Bib number pickup is at the race finish at Glenelg Baseball Club, Anderson Avenue, Glenelg North (Off Tapleys Hill Road) which is nestled between the Patawalonga River and Tapleys Hill Road at the south western end of Adelaide International airport where the big jet engines roar. The area is well grassed with plenty of shade trees along the perimeter next to the car park.

Fruit and food bar are provided for all finishers plus a finisher certificate and trophies for winners and placegetters.

Stay for the presentation and keep your race bib for the random draw for Shoe Vouchers.
