The three courses featured in this race takes advantage of some of the finest scenery in the Mt Lofty Ranges, yet it is all easily accessible from Adelaide.
The courses are predominantly on bush tracks or dirt paths, and almost completely out of sight of roads. They all start and finish on a wide track on the eastern side of the Cleland Wildlife Park car park. Three distances are on offer, with the 24.7km course making up our SA Trail Running Championships for 2013.
Early bird entries close 8am, Monday 8 April 2013.
Bibs will be available for collection from the SARRC office from 9:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday 18 April and Friday 19 April, as well as at the venue on race morning. Please allow plenty of time on race morning to collect your bib.
Race day entry will incur a $10 surcharge.
Important note: Freeway closed on race day Note the South-Eastern Freeway will be closed between the Tollgate and Crafers from 6.30-11.30am on Sunday, and that alternative routes of access are via Greenhill Rd from the north, and via Upper Sturt Rd and Waverley Ridge Rd from the south.

Course
The 6km event is an easy out and back course along the beautiful undulating forest trails of the Wine Shanty Track.
The 12.3km event is a loop course with a more challenging descent down to the Chambers Gully and ascent up the Bartril Spur Track to the Long Ridge Track and finish.
The 24.7km championship course is a demanding one down Chambers Gully to Waterfall Gully Road, then ascends the scenic slopes of Mt Osmond along the Pioneer Women's Trail. Total ascent/descent is 985m.
Large course maps will be available at the start. Please note that the course will be progressively closed at 9min/km pace from 8am (for the 24km event) and 8.30am (for the 12km event). The finish area will close at 11.40am.

Can you lend a hand?
Volunteers are needed for the following activities. More details will be provided when the positions have been filled.
Saturday 20 April
- Course marking – 8 to 10 people in pairs to mark about 6km of track each. Allow 3 hours.
- Van loading – 3 to 4 people to load the trailer at the SARRC office. Allow 2 hours.
Sunday 21 April
- Start/finish – 6 to 8 people to unpack truck, set up canopies, trestles, etc, issue race numbers, assist time keepers, spotters for overall winners, food and drink stalls, etc, awards ceremony, packing up afterwards. Not obliged to stay the whole time. From 7am to about 12.30pm.
- Drink stations – 10 people – 5 drink stations with at least 2 people each, all accessible by car. Will need to collect water, cups trestles, etc from start from 7.30am or from SARRC on Saturday.
- Course marshal – 5 required, M1 at 6km turn round, M2 at Gunbower Track by drink
- station 1, M3 at 12km turn up Bartril Spur Track, M4 at Waterfall Gully Road crossing, M5 on Mt Lofty track near Guides Hut.
- Course clearing – 2-3 people to remove course markers
