Sunday Running Groups

SUNDAY

7:00am Group - Meet at the University of Adelaide sports grounds, McKinnon Parade near the start marker of the 2.2km Uni Loop track (diagonally opposite the high rise apartment building) Distance and destintion of each Sunday's run is kept a "secret" and is advised prior to heading off. Generally this group runs 30km+ with shorter alternatives available.

7:45am (for 8.00am sharp departure) Group - Tea, coffee & muesli breakfast afterwards and shower facilities are available.

Training for the Adelaide Marathon, or any Marathon for that matter, the 7.45am Group has it's own Marathon runners group, known as the 8SSS or 8am SARRC Sunday Stayers. So if you are looking for company on those longer runs, then there is most likely someone to run with similar ability to run with.

Keep Running Group

Keep Running is aimed at supporting people who have completed the ‘Beginners Group’, however are not yet able to run with the main group. Each week we will run approximately 8 to 10 km at a slow to medium pace.
Time: 8.00am
Location: Hockey change rooms, Bundeys Rd, North Adelaide

 

Sunday Trail Group

This is for people who like to run long distances along trails close to metropolitan Adelaide. The runs start at 7.00 a.m. in summer (October-March) and 8.00 a.m. in winter. They are intended especially for those training for marathons and ultra-marathons, but shorter options are available.

The meeting place may change from week to week; and the run will be cancelled on the weekends of monthly trail runs or other popular SARRC events.
